In this article
Day 1 to 3: Managing initial swelling
Immediate cold compresses and keeping the head elevated 30 degrees during sleep minimize early edema. Transconjunctival procedures have no external stitches, so patients can shower and wash their face normally from day 2 avoiding direct eye rubbing.
Day 4 to 7: Transition to warmth and social clearance
Switching to light warm compresses accelerates circulation. For transconjunctival fat repositioning, patients are safe to board international flights by day 5 to 7. For incisional lower blepharoplasty, sutures are removed on day 5 to 6, with pre-departure checkup personally conducted by Dr. Lee.
Month 1 to 3: Final refinement
Residual deep tissue firmness softens completely over 8 to 12 weeks, revealing the smooth, refreshed under-eye architecture.
