The clinic
Small on purpose.
One surgeon, one field of surgery, and a deliberate decision not to grow into something larger.
A clinic that decided to stop growing
There is a standard path for a successful plastic surgery clinic in Gangnam. You open, you do well, you hire a second surgeon, then a third. You add a floor. You add procedures — nose, body, skin — because patients ask and because the market rewards breadth. Within a few years the founder's name is on the door and someone else is in the operating room.
SINSA L took the other path on purpose. The clinic has one surgeon, two floors, a short list of operations, and no plan to change any of those three things.
Why the under-eye
The lower eyelid is one of the least forgiving areas in aesthetic surgery. The skin is under half a millimetre thick. The fat sits in three separate compartments that herniate by different amounts. A ligament holds a groove into the skin below. Remove a little too much and the eye looks hollow; remove too little and nothing has changed; ignore the groove and the shadow remains regardless of how flat the bulge became.
That difficulty is precisely why Dr. Lee narrowed the practice towards it. An area with a two-millimetre margin does not reward variety — it rewards repetition. Performing the same small family of operations several times a week, for years, is what turns a technically correct operation into a consistently good one.
What staying small actually changes
It changes the consultation: you are examined by the surgeon, not by a coordinator working from a price list. It changes the operating schedule: cases are not stacked across parallel rooms, so an operation takes the time it needs rather than the time the calendar allows. It changes the follow-up: the person who checks your healing recognises your eyelid because he operated on it. And it changes what gets recommended — a clinic with nine procedures has very little to gain from selling you the wrong one.
An honest no
Some patients arrive convinced they need surgery and leave without it. Pigment-type dark circles do not respond to fat repositioning. Fluid puffiness from sleep, thyroid or kidney issues is not an eyelid problem. A twenty-six-year-old with a faint bulge is often better served by waiting five years. Saying so costs the clinic a fee. It is the cheapest form of quality control there is.
Where we are
The clinic sits on Gangnam-daero in Sinsa, one minute from Sinsa Station Exit 3, with the consultation centre on the third floor and the surgical centre on the fourth. Patients travel here from across Korea and from abroad — but the practice is still, in the most literal sense, a neighbourhood clinic run by the surgeon who owns it.
Inside the clinic
A small clinic, built around one surgeon
Consultation, operation and recovery all happen on two floors of the same building in Sinsa, Gangnam, Seoul — you will not be moved between branches or handed to another surgeon.

Standards
What we hold ourselves to
Diagnosis before procedure
The examination decides the operation. We do not begin from what a patient read online or from what is currently being promoted.
Conservative by default
Under-removal can be corrected. Over-removal usually cannot. Every judgement in this clinic leans in the same direction.
No coordinator-led sales
You are not passed to a consultant to be closed, and nobody asks you to decide on the day of your consultation.
The same hands throughout
Consultation, marking, operation, review. One surgeon from the first appointment to the last.
FAQ
About the clinic
Is SINSA L a large plastic surgery clinic?
No, and deliberately not. It occupies two floors in Sinsa with one operating surgeon. There are no branches and no associate surgeons.
Why does a clinic choose not to grow?
Because growth in aesthetic surgery is usually achieved by adding surgeons and widening the procedure menu. Both would break the promise that the person who consults you is the person who operates on you.
Does the clinic perform nose, body or facial contouring surgery?
The English practice is focused on the eye and under-eye region together with two lifting procedures. Anything outside that list is referred rather than attempted.
Consultation
Meet the surgeon before you decide anything
A consultation here is an examination and an opinion — not a sales appointment.
Every consultation is carried out by Dr. Lee Young-geun in person — never by a coordinator.
