International patients
Know the plan before you book the flight.
An opinion in English from the surgeon himself, and an honest trip length — all before you leave home.
The process
Six steps, and none of them is a surprise
The point of this sequence is that you know the plan, the cost and the length of your trip before you board a plane.
Send photographs
Front, both three-quarter views and a profile, in natural light, no make-up, eyes open and closed. Tell us what bothers you in your own words.
Dr. Lee reviews them himself
In English, from the surgeon rather than a coordinator. You will be told which procedure fits, which does not, and what it realistically achieves.
Indicative quotation and trip length
In writing, before you book a flight, including how many days you need in Seoul.
Examination in Sinsa
The plan is confirmed — or revised — after a physical examination. Nothing is scheduled before that conversation.
Surgery
Local anaesthesia with sedation for most procedures, same-day discharge, and the same surgeon from marking to closure.
Review, then fly
Reviews timed around your departure, with remote follow-up once you are home.
Planning
How long you need in Seoul
Procedures performed from inside the eyelid leave no sutures to remove, which is why they need a shorter trip. External-incision procedures need suture removal at day 5-7 before flying.
Healing is not a schedule. Where possible, keep the return date flexible by a day or two.

FAQ
Travelling for surgery — your questions
How many days should I stay in Seoul?
Four to five days for transconjunctival procedures such as under-eye fat removal or fat repositioning, where there are no external sutures. Eight to ten days where an external incision is used — lower blepharoplasty, upper blepharoplasty, double eyelid surgery or ptosis correction — so that sutures can be removed before you fly.
Can I have a consultation before I travel?
Yes. Send clear photographs — front, both three-quarter views and a profile, in natural light without make-up — and Dr. Lee will give an initial opinion and an indicative plan in English, by message.
Is the final plan confirmed before I arrive?
The plan is provisional until you are examined in person. Photographs cannot show skin elasticity, lid tone or how the tissue behaves under gravity. If the examination changes the recommendation, you will be told before anything is scheduled.
Is it safe to fly after eyelid surgery?
Flying is generally advised after the first review, and after suture removal where an external incision was used. Cabin air is dry, so lubricating drops and avoiding contact lenses on the flight are recommended.
Do you help with interpretation or accommodation?
Consultations are conducted directly in English by Dr. Lee. The clinic can advise on hotels and serviced residences within walking distance of Sinsa Station.
What follow-up happens after I return home?
Remote follow-up by photograph and message at the intervals your procedure requires, plus a direct line to the clinic if anything concerns you.
